Every pupil will be offered Meningitis ACWY at the same time as tetanus booster at age of 14 – 15 years at school.
If attending further education and you are not sure if this has been given. We have the vaccine available, please check with a member of staff at the surgery.
We also advise you to check if the MMR booster has been received for students as there is an increase in Measles and Mumps and both diseases can have serious consequences.
If in any doubt, please speak to a member of staff.
In addition to routine immunisations, we practice offer a comprehensive Travel Immunisation and Advice Service.
To access this service, please let our practice nurse know your travel details as soon as possible before the date of travel to enable a travel health schedule to be planned for you.
In general, we require a minimum of six weeks notice to ensure the completion of courses of travel vaccinations.
Our practice nurse can discuss the vaccination schedule with you and advise of any associated costs.
