In July 2017 Branch End Surgery had a total of 49 wasted appointments.

These are appointments that have been pre-booked, but where the patient has failed to contact the surgery of their non-attendance.

We therefore were unable to give these appointments to other patients in need of one.

As you will have seen in the news, the NHS is under extreme pressure and Branch End Surgery is also struggles to meet demand.

The practice reviews on a monthly basis all cases of non-attendance. If patients have DNA’d more than once this could result the practice reviewing the circumstances behind their non-attendance and consider removing the patient from the practice list.

We ask our patients to kindly cancel their appointment if they feel they no longer need it or if they are unable to attend.
