Branch End Surgery is now taking bookings for our Flu Vaccination Clinics. Please contact the surgery via 01661 842 626 to be added to our waiting list. Patients will be contacted by a member of staff and an appointment time and details will be discussed.

NHS England have instructed us that people in the 50-64yr old age group will not be vaccinated until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This to ensure that those who are at most risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are one of the other group, which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, please contact the surgery to be added to our waiting list.

Due to restrictions imposed by COVID we wont be able to run our flu vaccination campaign in the same way as usual. We will be offering a mix of appointment types, including more traditional clinic appointments and for some some in – car vaccination clinics. To keep these clinics running smoothly and safely, it is vital that patients come prepared.

So please note a few points about how these clinics will run:

•Please check our website or Facebook page prior to setting off. Any last minute notices will be updated on the home page.

•Only patients with a booked flu vaccination appointment should attend. Vaccination is by appointment only

. •Please wear a face covering in line with current guidelines unless you are exempt.

•Please arrive at your appointment time – not early or late.

•Please wait (outside) until we are ready for you. Please do not ring the intercom bell to inform us of your arrival.

•It is really important you dress appropriately for your vaccination. Your flu vaccine will be given into your upper arm sot that needs to be uncovered and easily reachable.

All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE and we will be closely following the guidelines provided by NHS England.

Our team will be working hard to deliver a safe and speedy vaccination clinic with minimal queing.

While we have planned the clinics as best as we can, we appreciate your patience if there are any unforeseen hold -ups on the day.
