GP practices in our area are currently working through the two priority groups (Cohorts 5 and 6) in age order from the eldest downwards.

The Practice will contact you for your vaccine.

Please only contact the surgery if you have read the Government guidelines and feel that you have been missed or if your circumstances have changed.

If this is the case, please do not call, please email: feedback@branchendsurgery.co.uk. Please include your name, address and date of birth.

If you are unable to travel to a mass vaccination site (such as the Centre for Life) please wait for your local invitation.

To help ensure social distancing, please do NOT arrive early for your vaccine appointment.

We have had patients asking for a choice of vaccine. Choice is not an option for anyone unless there are clinical reasons why a patient needs a specific vaccine and there are very few of those. Our deliveries vary and we get the vaccine we are given and so the same applies to patients we are able to vaccinate.

If you are offered a vaccine and you decline it because you would prefer a different one, neither the NHS nor the Practice may have the capacity to invite you again. We are trying not to waste a single dose. We appreciate this is a worrying time for patients, it is also a difficult time for people working in Healthcare.

The NHS is working incredible hard to make sure the vaccine is rolled out as fast as possible within the guidelines. As a Practice we also have our routine work to do, caring for patients who need medical attention for other issues. These patients are unable to get through for help if our phone lines are blocked with vaccine queries we can do nothing about and questions we are unable to answer.

The best place for patients to get up to date Covid Vaccination information is: https://www.nhs.uk/…/coronavirus…/coronavirus-vaccine/

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
